RIGHTS MANAGEMENT TERMS

These terms only apply when the creator separately authorizes rights management.

1. Ownership

The creator remains the copyright owner. Rights-management authorization does not transfer copyright ownership to ØBSERVER or any rights-management partner.

2. Appointment / Authorization

The creator authorizes ØBSERVER and its designated rights-management partners, including Age Media where applicable, to perform agreed rights-management activities for eligible Licensed Footage.

3. Eligible Footage

Only footage that meets applicable platform and rights-management eligibility rules may be registered or managed. ØBSERVER does not promise that all footage qualifies for YouTube Content ID or any other rights-management system.

4. Rights-Management Activities

Rights-management activities may include:

identifying matching uploads
tracking matching content
monetizing eligible unauthorized uses
issuing or administering claims
requesting takedowns/removal where legally appropriate
managing disputes
whitelisting authorized channels or accounts
releasing incorrect claims

5. Supported Platforms

YouTube Content ID is specific to YouTube. Other platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or other services, may use different systems, policies, and rights-management procedures.

6. Creator’s Own Accounts / Whitelisting

Creators should identify their own or authorized channels and accounts so valid uses can be excluded from enforcement where supported by the relevant platform or rights-management system.

7. Disputes and Incorrect Claims

Creators or third parties can report an incorrect claim by contacting:

8. Revenue

“Net Rights Management Revenue” means revenue actually received and attributable to the Licensed Footage after any applicable platform, payment-processing, third-party rights-management, or other agreed deductions.

Final percentages and deductions must match ØBSERVER’s actual commercial arrangement with Age Media.

Termination may not instantly reverse all platform-side claims. Processing times can depend on the relevant platform and rights-management system.

11. Existing Claims and Accrued Revenue

The final contract should define how active claims and already-earned revenue are handled after termination.
